Partially sighted from birth, he began learning the violin at the age of six, and three years later performed the Mendelssohn concerto with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Although treated as a child prodigy, and apparently destined for a career as a concert violinist, he gave up the instrument in his early teens. This, he later explained, was after hearing Heifetz in person, and realising that he could never achieve such a level of tonal perfection. More...

Charles Limb: Your brain on improv

http://www.jazzinthecity.org/1/post/2011/01/charles-limb-your-brain-on-improv.html

http://www.jazzinthecity.org/1/post/2011/01/charles-limb-your-brain-on-improv.html#comments

Uncategorized

  [...]

Jazz in the City Readies its Marketing Campaign in Jazziz

http://www.jazzinthecity.org/1/post/2010/11/jazz-in-the-city-readies-its-marketing-campaign-in-jazziz.html

http://www.jazzinthecity.org/1/post/2010/11/jazz-in-the-city-readies-its-marketing-campaign-in-jazziz.html#comments

Uncategorized

[...]

Jazz in the City will launch a vigorous year-long marketing campaign beginning in the December issue of Jazziz Magazine.

Publisher Michael Fagien, who runs one of the most widely read jazz magazines in the country, loved our concept and approached us about taking our concept nationwide.
